Learning about Drug Interactions
Anytime your doctor prescribes a medication to you, he or she will also discuss if there will be a serious drug interaction with what you already take. Some prescriptions can be changed to avoid this happening and this is done to protect people’s health. Another person who can tell you about drug interactions is your pharmacist. You know this guy, he wears the white coat and fills your prescriptions at the market.
To have this job, you must have at least a bachelor in science degree which proves that you have taken math, biology and chemistry classes. Having a pharmacy job can have you working in a hospital, in a medical center or in a drug store and a search online for pharmacy jobs will let you know what openings there are where you live.
This is a specialized job where the latest knowledge of medications is a constant process of education. Some pharmacists can choose to specialize in the research of pharmaceuticals or they can be in the marketing and sales of medications for a particular company. It is obvious that this field is growing faster than normal with more and more positions being offered each day. If you like chemistry and biology, you might consider majoring in the pharmacy field.
