Personal Injury Compensation
If you are making a personal injury compensation claim then there is no way that you should be paying for any fees yourself. Claims should always be able to be made by those injured, regardless of whether or not the person has the funds necessary to start a legal battle. The costs of the action should always be paid by those responsible for the injuries.
In the case of your claim being unsuccessful, you will more than likely already have had a ‘no win – no fee’ arrangement with your solicitor. If this is the case then it is unlikely that you will lose the case. Before agreeing to this sort of an arrangement, solicitors would of taken an in depth look at the case to work out the chances of success. If they feel that there is a chance they might not win the case then they would most probably have not taken the case on in the first place.
Compensation will only be awarded where there has been a clear injury or illness that resulted as a direct cause of someone else’s negligence. This means that your injury will need to have been examined and confirmed by a qualified medical professional.
